ABOUT AARON
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997 and then my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio in 2002.

I have experience working for Austin Travis County MHMR, where I counseled children and adolescents struggling with oppositional defiant and conduct disorders as well as the emotional trauma of past sexual and physical abuse. I have also spent time working at a pain clinic, where I helped individuals cope with their chronic pain and related emotional and psychosocial difficulties.

I specialize in mood disorders including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as adjustment disorders, addiction, and sexual and physical abuse survivors. My therapeutic approach includes elements of solution-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and psychodynamic therapies.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard, jogging, boating, and watching the Longhorns.
